Red, White & Blue Patriotic Meringue Heart Cookies

I made these tri-colored meringue hearts for our 4th of July celebrations but thought they would also be the perfect apolitical treat while still showing our patriotic pride.

If you’ve been following my blog for the past seven years (!) you know I love these light and airy puffs of perfection so in this post I’ll be adding links taking you to past DIY tutorials of how I made the meringue hearts, an idea of what you can do with them and how to make them three colors.

Of course, you can pipe the meringue “batter” into any shape. I used the same open star decorating tip to make the star, the kisses and the hearts in the photo above.

ā€œBe Still My (Meringue) Heartā€ Cookies

Chocolate might reign supreme as the sweet choice for Valentine’s Day but if something lighter tickles your fancy, meringue heart cookies just might make your heart go all aflutter.
