Marilyn Johnson, the award winning author of the Sweets To Impress blog, is a frequent collaborator with national brands who turn to her for her expertise and experience of over 30 years of baking and party planning along with her ability to tell a story through her writing and photography.

Her party themes, baked goods, DIY-decorating ideas and photography have been featured on many websites and Domestic and International online publications.  Her delicious and decorative cakes, pies and cookies have also won numerous blue-ribbons at the Los Angeles and Orange County Fairs, as has her blog for culinary writing and photographic achievement.

Marilyn also has a passion to share her knowledge and skills with others through workshops and classes and loves experimenting with new techniques and recipes believing that sweets should look as amazing as they taste.

A native Los Angeleno and a graduate of the University of Southern California (Fight On!), Orange County is home for Marilyn and her high school sweetheart husband, Rob, where they raised two wonderful sons who also know how to cook and bake.
