Monday.

I postponed my trip since my last minute ticket purchase cost me twice as much as I thought it was going to. I lost $200 on the cancellation fee but we will plan to go in in late August. Son2 is fine with it as now he can join his peeps at midnight tomorrow for the new Harry Potter movie. He read all the books so he wants to see the series through. They already have their tickets which is… [Read More]

“To Cheat or Not To Cheat….”

Have you ever wondered if your husband was having an affair? Years ago a friend of mine found out her husband had made reservations in Vegas by the credit card company’s fraud protection department calling the house and asking if anyone had recently used the card since the account had been dormant. ‘Bob’ changed his reservations from Vegas to a local Marriott Residence for several weeks thereafter before groveling his way back home. Then there was ‘N’ who was dutifully… [Read More]

I’m As ‘Happy As A Clam!’ :)

I am loving this new Ann Veronica pattern‘Happy as a clam’.So summery. I can also recommend this double holder for your specs. Perfect for sunglasses and cheaters. I used to throw both in my bag unprotected. I know. My bad but I didn’t want to mess with two glass cases. I highly recommend this case for 16 clam-o-las.

The Homecoming.

I am flying this weekend to New York state with son2 for a college visit to meet with advisors, etc. If the emotions of a college trip aren’t enough, I am filled with a sense of panic since Mr. P. Martini is unable to go and I have to be the grown-up. Never mind I will be traveling with an 18 year-old male who will be living on his own shortly because this does not count to a mother.  … [Read More]

Summer Weddings: Round 2

It took me two days to recover from the wedding this past week. I slept all the way on the drive home until we hit LA and stopped at Philippe’s for dinner then continued sleeping off and on all day Sunday. One thing I have learned and I have been sharing this advice with family and friends so they know next time ~ friends do not let friends do ‘the lawnmower’ dance under any circumstances. Anyway, with my nephew’s wedding,… [Read More]

Destination: Wedding Report

My nephew’s wedding was beautiful. It was at the Edna Vineyards on the central coast of California. It was a true destination wedding as everyone had to travel to attend. The bride is a graduate of a university nearby and had always wished to be married there. This was one of many wishes that came true for her this day.We begin the day before for the rehearsal and the arrival of guests. A house was rented for the groomsmen… [Read More]

Destination: Wedding

The destination wedding we are going to is in 2 days. It is truly in the middle of nowhere to my way of thinking. The biggest airports are either LAX or San Francisco and this location is equidistant to both. This means a long trip by car, around 6 hours. Friends have called to inform me of the traffic we will probably hit. Seems the processional to Neverland is also headed the direction we are going. I really hope we… [Read More]
